Cinderella

Cinderella at Venue To Be Announced

Why see Cinderella?

A Brand New show From Andrew Lloyd Webber

Andrew Lloyd Webber's genius returns to Broadway with his very own version of the classic Cinderella story! Coming soon to New York City, this brand new musical turns the original tale on its head with a book by Emmy nominee Emerald Fennell (Killing Eve), lyrics by David Zippel (The Woman in White) and an original score by Sir Lloyd Webber himself (of course)!

Lloyd Webber announced the new production with "I have long wanted to write my own version of Cinderella but could never find a take on the classic story that really grabbed me. Emerald Fennell has written something truly exciting and original, and the moment I read her outline I knew I'd found my latest collaborator..."

With direction from Laurence Connor (Joseph And The Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat) and Choreography from School of Rock's JoAnn Hunter Cinderella will be one of the biggest Broadway openings of the year!

What is the story?

Welcome to the picturesque town of Bellville, where the streets, and the citizens, are all gorgeous folk, each living a fairytale existence. Well not all of them.Resolutely rebelling against Bellville's picture-perfect persona is the town's brash outcast; Cinderella. This tough girl wants out of Bellville, especially now her only friend, Prince Sebastian is more into his Heir to the Throne Duties than their friendship. But as they grow apart, a new spark seems to keep them together... Add to that the Queen has ordered a Royal Wedding to keep the peasants happy, and it looks like the steadfastly unique loud-mouth is going to have to do something she never dreamed of - conform. With the help The Godmother, can Cinders find true love and more importantly, true happiness in her own skin?

Fran Drescher is amazing in this!!

When I was deciding what show to see I picked this one along with some other shows at random not knowing about the fact that my /the Queen of comedy Fran Drescher was gonna be on stage just a couple feet in front of me!!! In her own words from her hit show the Nanny I was "Plotzing". Other than me totally "fan-girlling" over Fran, I can honestly say that her performance and the performance of the rest of the cast and everyone involved in the production was absolutely wonderful and truly captivating to the eyes, of course my eyes were glued to Fran, but I mean the rest was just as captivating. ... Lovely!!!

Thanks to the entire cast and all those who worked on this marvelous production! As a child, I watched the t.v. version with Lesley-Anne Warren so many times that I know the lyrics to all of the songs. The new Broadway version is enchanting, lighthearted and the set and costume changes nothing short of enchanting. Beautiful singing, dancing and those glass slippers - sigh! Thanks for a magical night - my entire family loved it!!! ... Read more

Captivating MUST SEE

This "updated" version of Cinderella is enchanting and beautiful. Rodgers and Hammerstein's winning score is delivered wonderfully by the vocals of Laura Osnes, Santino Fontana, Victoria Clarke, Harriet Harris and a strong supporting supporting cast. The costumes and sets are amazing; vivid, captivating and you will definitely wonder how images change before your eyes! I loved the story "updates" which give Cinderella a new life and a very joyous ending. If you are a fan of the TV version of Cinderella (I've always enjoyed the Lesley Ann Warren version) you will not be disappointed. Great and well worth the price of admission! ... Read more
