The 1999 cinema touchstone that defined the modern high school genre has a Broadway adaptation, courtesy of a creative team including pop star Carly Rae Jepsen and Golden Globe winning writer and actor Lena Dunham! Originally a breakout film for stars like Heath Ledger and Julia Stiles, this reimagining of the cult classic - itself a re-work of Shakespeare's The Taming of the Shrew - features an original score by Jepsen and Ethan Gruska, orchestrated by Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize-winner Tom Kitt (Next to Normal), with a book co-authored by Dunham and Jessica Huang (Mother of Exiles). 

What is the story?

10 Things I Hate About You follows the contrasting lives of the Stratford sisters: the popular, rule-abiding Bianca and the fiercely independent, non-conformist Kat. A strict family policy prevents Bianca from dating until her older sister does, but a new student in their school, Cameron, is infatuated with her.
