When his traveling ministry breaks down in a small Kansas town, part-time reverend and full-time con artist Jonas Nightingale (Raúl Esparza) quickly pitches a tent and invites the locals to a revival.
The town sheriff is determined to stop him from separating the townspeople from their money.
A new musical on Broadway based on the motion picture, "Leap of Faith," produced by Paramount Pictures Corporation and written by Janus Cercone, it boasts a brand new score from 8-time Oscar winner Alan Menken (The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast), a book by Janus Cercone and Warren Leight, and lyrics by Glenn Slater.

Leap Of Faith/Best Singing In NYC
My wife and I saw Leap Of Faith on Sunday 4/29. The theatre is really nice, and a perfect size for this musical. The theme is basically about the ups and downs of a traveling revival group, with gospel singing at its core. As a former drummer and decent singer, I'm usually very tough when rating musicals. This one was incredible! It has some of the most powerful singers I've heard in years. If you enjoy harmony that puts goosebumps on your arms, get to this one. Almost every song had my feet and hands tapping. The entire cast was energized from beginning to end, singing their hearts out on every song.
