The Record Breaking Broadway Revue Returns
Running for a staggering 2036 performances, smash-hit spectacle Smokey Joe's Cafe made Broadway history as the longest running musical revue on the Great White Way. Based on the music of legendary songwriting duo Lieber and Stoller, the Grammy-winning retro tuner boasts a score packed with generation-defining classics including Jailhouse Rock, Spanish Harlem, Stand By Me and Love Potion No 9. Don't miss this rollicking new revival at NYC's Stage 42, directed and choreographed by Emmy winner Joshua Bergasse.
From the early 50s right through to the late 70s, Rock and Roll Hall of Famers Lieber and Stoller rode high as the kings of popular song, writing hit after hit for the likes of Elvis Presley, Ben E. King and Peggy Lee amongst others. With their trademark wit and tenderness, the prolific pair wrote songs that spoke to the heart, encompassing the highs and lows of love, heartbreak and everyday life.
