Tony Award nominee Kristin Hanggi (Rock Of Ages) directs this musical adaptation of the cult favorite film, coming to New York's Stage 42 this Fall! With a book written by the original film's screenwriter, Robin Schiff, Romy & Michele: The Musical follows two Valley girls whose lies to impress their old classmates get out of hand. Grab your best businesswoman suits and get ready to relive the classic as this much-anticipated production begins previews from October 14!
Romy and Michele didn't have a good time at high school - but at least they had each other. Now it's 1997, their ten-year reunion is coming up, and the pair realize they've done absolutely nothing that would impress their former bullies. So an elegant solution presents itself... tell everyone they invented the Post-It note. Who's really going to know that they're lying? But things will start to spiral out of their control pretty quickly... This stage adaptation features music and lyrics by Gwendolyn Sanford and Brandon Jay.
