Tiny Beautiful Things at Shiva Theatre

Why see Tiny Beautiful Things?

Directed by Hamilton's Thomas Kail

Best known for her leading turn in My Big Fat Greek Wedding, Oscar nominee Nia Vardolos makes her New York stage debut in Tiny Beautiful Things. Based on the book by Cheryl Strayed (Wild), and adapted by Vardolos, this moving new play is the story of online advice columnist Sugar, who forms a deep and special bond with her readers. A witty story of human connection, Tiny Beautiful things is helmed by Tony winner Thomas Kail (Hamilton) and was extended by two weeks before it opened due to huge public demand.

What Is Tony Beautiful Things About?

Sugar is an anonymous online advice columnist. Everyday she sits down in front of her computer and tries to solve the problems of the hundreds of people who write to her. Imbuing her writing with her own personal struggles and experiences, Sugar turns her column into a rich and rewarding text that delves into the troubles of the human heart, and is beloved by her many devoted fans.
