Writer and performer Zoe Kim brings her tender story to the Public Theater this Fall
Written by and starring Zoe Kim, this autobiographical story comes to the Public Theater for its New York City premiere this Fall. Directed by Chris Yejin as part of Ma-Yi Theater Company's residency, Did You Eat? is a poetic exploration of Kim's memories and experiences as she seeks healing. Don't miss out on this bright new voice of Korean-American theater.
Zoe Kim wants to reconnect with her inner child. As she inhabits the various members of her family throughout her past, she finds both hilarity and heartbreak, in what proves to be a vulnerable and painful reckoning with her own identity. Did You Eat? delves into Kim's experience as a Korean American, looking to find belonging, healing, and love - as well as that lost inner child.
