Comedy heavyweight and Monty Python legend Eric Idle heads out on tour for an evening in conversation about his new book, Idle In Provence: A Brief History of Thyme! Join Eric as he discusses the almighty project he took on to convert a derelict French chateau - or "shackeau" as he calls it - into the home which has since hosted the likes of George Harrison, Robbie Williams and of course the Python himself, over 55 years. As a member of Monty Python, Eric Idle found worldwide fame in the 1960s and 70s as the group's absurd sketches, songs, and films caught the cultural imagination far beyond their native UK. Idle and the Pythons became eminently quotable and influential worldwide, with skits, shows and films ranging from arguments over Dead Parrots to the Quest for the Holy Grail, SPAM to The Meaning of Life.
