What is the story of The Song of The Mermaid?

The subject of numerous adaptations since her story first appeared in Andersen's collection of fairy tales in 1837. It follows a young mermaid (SooBin Lee & Soenmee Park) with just one wish, to live above the water with the humans, particularly with a handsome Prince (the Mariinsky Ballet's Kimin Kim) she has fallen for from her watery vantage point. Prepared to give up her beguiling voice, and everything else, for love, she makes a deal with the wicked Sea Witch, a challenge that she must complete...or else.
