Time

"SERIOUS CONTACT HIGH. Revelatory and exuberant!"
Ben Brantley of The New York Times

In Hairspray it's 1962 - the '50s are out and change is in the air. Baltimore's Tracy Turnblad, a big girl with big hair and an even bigger heart, has only one passion - to dance.

She wins a spot on the local TV dance program. "The Corny Collins Show" and, overnight, is transformed from outsider to irrepressible teen celebrity. But can a trendsetter in dance and fashion vanquish the program's reigning princess, win the heart of heartthrob Link Larkin, and integrate a television show without denting her 'do? Only in Hairspray! Welcome to the '60s!

A Spectacular to Remember.

When I heard Good Morning Baltimore sung by Shannon Durig, I was in shock! The music is upbeat, the acting is wonderful, the singing is fantastic, the set design was amazing, and the costumes were colorful. All of the shows that I've seen were great, but Hairspray...was AWESOME! I couldn't believe how much work these actors and actresses put in to this show. If you are in NYC, and you are planning to see a last minute show, see Hairspray! Even if you get bad seats, you still are lucky to be seeing a wonderful show. I really do recommend it for all ages and our seats were great! SEE HAIRSPRAY!!! ... Read more

Don’t miss out!

Took my 9 year old who loves to sing, dance and all of the above. Watching her react to the amazing performances and singing and dancing was something that will forever stay engraved in my mind and heart. It has so many messages that kids (and sadly adults) need to be reminded of nowadays. Equality, body image, bullying, goal setting, following your dreams, love, friendship, etc. It wasn’t boring or long, and even the songs that sometimes feel like “fillers” were done so nicely that you ended up feeling like they were singing directly to you. The energy and vibe was all there, and EVERYONE on stage was rocking it! Wether they were dancing in front of the crowd or all the way on back. Everyone brought it! Go watch it! You’ll love it! ...
