Three couples negotiate the pitfalls of marriage and parenting

A smartly realised portrait of modern day parenting
Exploring our newly affirmed age of equality, Dada Woof Papa Hot is the smart new play from writer Peter Parnell (QED, the upcoming Hunchback of Notre Dame), centering on two couples of gay parents in New York. The cast includes Tony winner John Benjamin Hickey (The Normal Heart) and Tony nominee Tammy Blanchard (How to Success in Business Without Really Trying), while the much in-demand Scott Ellis (The Elephant Man, You Can't Take It With You) directs.
Three couples navigate the challenges of being a parent in modern day New York City. There's Alan and Rob and Scott and Jason, who feel drawn together through their shared experience of bringing up children as gay couples, yet their new found friendship is giving rise to petty jealousies and thoughts of infidelity. Then there's Alan's closet straight friend whose marriage is beginning to crumble. In this time of equality, are the pressures of marriage and child-rearing universal, and what parts of your former, single self, are worth trying to resurrect?
