Melding the contrasting sounds of Quadrophenia with a symphony has been a really unique and powerful way to reach a wide audience. I couldn't be more excited to see it continue in the U.S.

Pete Townshend brings his iconic album stateside with Billy Idol and Alfie Boe
The Who's windmilling guitarist brings his symphonic arrangement of the 1973 album to the US this summer for four very special dates that will feature Billy Idol, Alfie Boe and a full orchestra performing the expansive rock opera in all its glory (plus Eddie Vedder in Chicago only). A full narrative story, Quadrophenia follows the story of a young working class Mod, Jimmy, and his search for meaning amongst the culture clash of 1960s Britain and was influential in reviving Mod culture, leading to the iconic film in 1979.
The second of The Who's rock operas after 1969's Tommy, Quadrophenia features writing exclusively by Townshend that captures the feelings of the young at the time. Formerly premiering in London, Classic Quadrophenia adds a new dimension that will attract pop and classical music fans alike to the ambitious material.
