South Korean prodigious pianist Yunchan Lim returns to the stage in North America, showcasing the mind-boggling virtuosic skill that has seen him become an international star despite still being only 19 years old. His sparkling talent first came to international attention in 2022 when he became the youngest ever gold medalist at the Van Cliburn International Piano Competition, with global acclaim and touring rightly following.
Yunchan's reputation as a child prodigy had been steadily growing up until that point, having been the youngest ever participant in the Thomas & Evon Cooper International Competition at the age of 14 and winning the South Korean ISANGYUN competition aged 15. Both before and since his breakout the young virtuoso has appeared as a soloist with leading orchestras around the world, including the New York Philharmonic, Tokyo Philharmonic and Korea Symphony.
