This fall, Princeton's McCarter Theatre Center will host the world premiere of Empire Records, the musical. The iconic nineties movie starred Liv Tyler, Renee Zellweger, and Golden Globe winner Anthony LaPaglia, and became a much-beloved quintessential nineties cult classic. Unknown Soldier's Trip Cullman will direct the show, with music and lyrics by Zoe Sarnak and Tony Award winner Jonathan Larson.

What's it about?

An independent record store is facing a takeover by a huge corporation. Taking matters into their own hands, the quirky band of misfit employees decide to save their beloved Empire Records from the capitalist nightmare, beginning with taking to the casino and ending with a rocking charity concert. Join them for one unforgettable day as they try their best to stick it to the man!

Fun Show!

I really enjoyed the show Empire Records at the McCarter Theatre which I saw last night. The set design and performances were great and very professional.
