Why see Bulrusher?
Psychic orphans and untold secrets!
Bulrusher is taking to the New Jersey stage this fall! Written by award-winning playwright, singer, and actor Eisa Davis, the play was nominated for a Pulitzer Prize in 2007. Taking the directorial helm will be the McCarter Associate Artistic Director, Nicole A. Watson whose credits include "The Great Society" and "School Girls; or, the African Mean Girls Play". Bulrusher is a stunning tale of discovery and unearthing long-covered truths so catch it while you can!
Bulrusher, a young girl who was orphaned as an infant, was found floating in the river in a basket. But not all is as it seems once it becomes apparent that she has clairvoyant abilities, and a young Black girl arrives from Alabama who turns Bulrusher's life upside down.
