New Adaptation
A brand-new musical adaptation of Beaches, Iris Rainer Dart's bestselling novel and 1988 film of the same name, comes to Broadway in March 2026! Featuring music by legendary songwriter Mike Stoller, with Dart's lyrics and a book by Dart and Thom Thomas, the production stars Jessika Vosk (Wicked) and Kelli Barrett (Parade) returning following their performances in the show's world premiere in Canada in 2024, in the roles of Cee Cee and Bertie respectively. The show is helmed by co-directors Lonny Price and Matt Cowart, and choreographed by Jennifer Rias, working to brings to life a story of the highs and lows of an enduring bond between two women.
wHAT'S iT about?
Across three decades Beaches tells the story of Cee Cee, an ambitious performer, and Bertie, a privileged dreamer; two vastly different women whose deep, unwavering friendship withstands the tests of time. Forming an unbreakable connection as children, the two navigate the twists and turns of life together from both near and far, weathering love rivalry, tragedy and triumph together.
