Looped

Looped at Lyceum Theater

Why see Looped?

Looped tells the story of Tallulah Bankhead, the original celebrity bad girl, being called into a sound studio to re-record (or "loop") one line of dialogue for what would be her last film.

What ensues is a showdown between an uptight sound editor and the outrageous legend. Southern, but by no means a belle, Ms. Bankhead was known for her wild partying that outshined even today's superstars.

Relish in the promiscuity, scandal and outrageous wit of this sultry-voiced stage and film star

The two male actors, Brian Hutchison and Michael Mulheren, have wonderful acting "chops" and turned what could have been a one woman show into a true ensemble production. It's a must see! (And to hear "Rhoda" drop the F-bomb 889 times is worth the price of a ticket alone.) ... Read more

delicious lines to remember

This was a great way to spend the afternoon - getting to know some very unforgettable lines and raunchy humor from a bygone character. Valerie Harper really nails this role, and I'd recommend it to anybody over the age of 18 (only restricted to adults thanks to the frequency of four-lettered words, etc.). ... Read more
