Why see Warriors?
Run The Night, Survive The City
Lin-Manuel Miranda and Eisa Davis bring a gritty vision of New York City to the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre in this major new Broadway musical! Based on the Paramount Pictures film The Warriors and Sol Yurick’s novel of the same name. Previews begin in March 2027, with an official opening in April 2027. Warriors expands from its origins as a concept album released in October 2024, which featured Ms. Lauryn Hill, Nas, Busta Rhymes, and many more.
What’s The Story?
New York City becomes a neon-lit battlefield as Warriors follows a fictional Coney Island gang forced into a desperate journey across the city. After being framed for the murder of a respected gang leader, they are declared enemies of every gang in the city. Stripped of allies and hunted through hostile territory, The Warriors must navigate subway tunnels, abandoned streets, rival crews and relentless police pressure in a race to find their way back home from the Bronx to Coney Island before dawn.
