What Is The Story?

Very few plays have had such an enormous cultural impact as The Vagina Monologues. Based on an astounding 200 interviews, this fictionalised series of stories covering topics including pleasure, trauma and birth refused to adhere to taboos, allowing an incredible level of honesty and freedom. Since its inception 30 years ago, it has refused to rest on its laurels, constantly updating and reinventing itself to speak to new generations. Theater is rarely as powerful as this.
