The zombie horror classic gets the musical treatment
George Romero's 1968 horror classic is resurrected Off-Broadway as a terrifyingly fun new musical! Much in the same spirit of other recent hits like Evil Dead The Musical, this adaptation by Jordan Wolfe (Lark) is a loving spoof, which mixes blood and guts with a great score and plenty of one-liners.
The plot follows three couples who are forced to hide out in an abandoned house after the dead begin rising from their graves! Can they survive the zombie onslaught, or will their vocal chords be the only body parts left in the morning? Jordan Wolfe provides the score and leads the cast of the Kirk Theatre staging, which also stars Jaime Cepero, Meg Lanzarone, Michelle Dowdy, Philip Bryan, and Susan J. Jacks. Mitchell Walker directs.
