WE LOVED IT!

We took my visiting 89-year-old mother to see this play; it was especially close to our hearts as my mother had given up driving her car years ago- the actors (ALL OF THEM) were more than wonderful; it was as if you were actually living in the era depicted. James Earl Jones, Vanessa Redgrave and Boyd Gaines actually made you believe every emotion, and line that was felt and said. They are all truly at the "top of their game"- cannot say enough about this wonderful play, or the wonderful performances in it. A Must See!! ... Read more

Front House Staff A Disgrace To This Play

The actors in this play at superb. Absolutely fabulous. However, from the moment we entered this theatre every single front of house staff member we encountered were a definite disservice to these actors. They were abrupt, rude and classless. A play with actors of this calibre deserves a front of house staff that will be a credit to the production. We were shouted at to not seat ourselves and the manner in which we were shouted at was rude and offensive. When we were finally shown our seats (which we had already found ourselves, but we were told to remain in the aisle until we could "be shown" our seats) we were told "I hope you have a better night ladies". Totally classless. We attended three Broadway productions during our trip and by far, the front of house staff at this theatre were the worst. Ruined the evening. Surely for the price of the ticket better staff could be found to enhance what the Golden Theatre has to offer??? ... Read more
