Coram Boy

Coram Boy at Imperial Theater

Why see Coram Boy?

A tale of two orphans at the Coram Hospital for Deserted Children: Toby, saved from an African slave ship and Aaron, the abandoned son of the heir to a great estate.

A tale of fathers and sons, set in the dark heart of 18th-century England. An epic adventure filled with danger and excitement. ‘A rich and almost gothic drama unfolds, full of dastardly villains, cold-hearted aristocrats, devoted friends and passionate lovers, and set against a background of cruelty, music and murder.’

The humour was spot on and the cast strong throughout. I especially enjoyed the section with the rewind and replay's when Ian enters the store. I agree with the previous comment about Bruce Springsteen which I feel didn't quite work although the song was a crowd pleaser. I would recommend the show for a great night out in New York. Be aware that if you are taking the kids there are several times when strong language is used ... Read more
