Guys and Dolls

Why see Guys and Dolls?

Luck Be a Lady!

A swinging tale of gangsters, gamblers, and molls, Guys and Dolls is one of the all-time classic American musicals. The show originally premiered on Broadway in 1950 and picked up five Tony Awards, including Best Musical. Five years later it was adapted for the silver screen with Frank Sinatra and Marlon Brando. The story follows the escapades of gamblers Nathan and Sly, who are prepared to bet it all for love.

Set on the glittering, jazz-age streets of New York, Guys and Dolls features some iconic musical theatre numbers, including 'Sit Down, You're Rockin' the Boat,' 'Luck Be a Lady'.

Spectacular Show!

My husband and I attended opening night of Guys & Dolls and loved it! The performance was outstanding and the set magnificent! We sat on row LL (towards the back) and had a great view of the show. (because we were so far away we couldn't make out actor's faces well but still had a great view.) The biggest downside to sitting in the back is that people got up and left quite a bit. I have to say that I would think twice before bringing children to the show. The scenes at "The Hotbox" includes sexy performances by women in lingerie. The performances of Glenn Rainey (Nicely Nicely Johnson) and Megan Sikora (Miss Adelaide) were particularly outstanding! Personally I would recast for the role of Sky Masterson, but that's just me! Over all I would highly recommend this show and don't forget to go down to the front of the theater before the show to see the beautiful starry night ceiling! ... Read more

Guys and Dolls

I’ve seen dozens of musicals in Chicago, New York and in many other cities. This show was as good as any show I have ever seen. Not hyperbole. Set and costumes were wonderful, dancing was terrific, Nicely, Nicely was great, the rendition of Rocking the Boat was fantastic. The four leads were excellent, Adilade, Sarah and Sky brought down the house with their singing, their performances were extraordinary. Cabaret scenes were beautiful and tastefully done. Could not recommend it more. ... Read more
