The Coen Brothers' classic comedy The Big Lebowski inspires a fandom like no other, which is where the Lebowski Fest comes in. Founded in Kentucky in 2002, Lebowski Fest is a celebration of all things Dude related. There's a bowling competition, live music, trivia contests, White Russians aplenty, and of course, a screening of the movie itself. Come in your best costumes, and you may even catch a guest appearance from Jeff Bridges and Co.
Released in 1998, The Big Lebowski begins with some guys peeing on the Dude's rug, before spiralling into a hallucinatory, noir-inspired mystery, featuring a severed toe, a porn impresario, and some nihilists. Overflowing with Hollywood talent and quotable lines, it's not hard to see why its appeal still abides to this day.
