Los Angeles comic Nicole Byer is perhaps best known as the plucky host of bake-off series Nailed It! Between 2018-2022, where contestants would do their best but invariably fail to recreate complex confectionary creations. Her first ever stand-up special for Netflix received an Emmy-nomination in 2021, and proved how much of a tour de force performer she was, taking no prisoners in her mission to make people laugh. Her best pal, Indianapolis-raised Sasheer Zamata, first found fame as a SNL cast member, going on to star in the Hulu comedy series Woke and ABC sitcom Home Economics, among many other TV and film roles and two standup specials.
