The Tropicalia superstars reunite for a joint tour!
Two of Brazil's most charismatic singer-songwriters reunite on stage for a very special short tour, taking audiences back to the Sixties and reintroducing them to the provocative Tropicalia arts movement that made them the enemies of their government. The biggest pop stars of their era, they started to merge Brazilian and African rhythms with rock and roll in a cultural exchange that changed the course of Latin music forever.
Exiled to the UK for their part in the Tropicalia movement by the military dictatorship during the Sixties, the pair continued to perform together in pubs and small music venues, inadvertently bringing their unique musical fusion to the London music scene, and Europe as a whole! Despite carving out hugely successful solo careers in their own right, the two Grammy Award-winning musicians are best-known for their lifelong friendship and musical collaborations, and will perform music from their respective albums, as well as from the movement that made them the biggest stars in South America.
