A Punch Turned Deadly
Following its critically acclaimed, sold-out run in London, Olivier winner James Graham (Dear England) brings his new play Punch to the Samuel J Friedman Theatre. Based on the real-life story of Jacob Dunne as told in his book Right from Wrong, the play explores the ripple effects of one tragic, split-second decision.
What Is The Plot?
When a night out turns deadly, Jacob's life is irrevocably changed by a single impulsive act of violence: a punch that ends in the death of a stranger. After serving his sentence, Jacob is left adrift, until a remarkable meeting with the victim's grieving parents forces him to confront the full weight of his actions. What follows is a deeply moving exploration of guilt, forgiveness, and the search for meaning after tragedy.
