A powerful new play making its world premiere on Broadway at the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre! Written by two-time Olivier Award winner David Hare (PlentySkylight), directed by Tony Award winner Daniel Sullivan (Summer, 1976The Little Foxes), and starring four-time Emmy Award winner Laura Linney, Montauk follows the passionate lives of two artists chasing greatness in very different ways.

What's The Story?

Acclaimed writer Roxy Margaux (Linney) falls head over heels for the confidence and bravado of Long Island painter Jared Speight, but as their initial attraction grows into a complicated decade-long relationship, their rising careers and deepening connection spark a battle between intimacy and ego - ultimately exposing the true motives behind their artistic creations.
