It won't fix your heart, but it might make you laugh about it. Acclaimed New Zealand theatre company EBKM's Heartbreak Hotel has steadily built a following on the international festival circuit, with acclaimed runs at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and the RISING Festival, along with a London engagement at Soho Theatre.

Now, this clever, heartfelt two-hander is making its Off-Broadway debut, turning the messy, confusing experience of heartbreak into an enlightening and hilarious romantic misadventure, whilst also exploring the science of love and loss and what actually happens to our brains and bodies when our hearts get broken.

What's The Story?

Written and performed by Karin McCracken, the show follows one woman as she navigates the emotional aftermath of a breakup. The overthinking, the late-night playlists, the questionable dating decisions, and the desperate attempts to convince herself she's absolutely, definitely over it (even when she's very much not). Helping her relive every awkward, painful, and occasionally ridiculous romantic moment is Simon Leary, who plays every man in her life - from ex-boyfriends to well-meaning friends and the odd disastrous date.
