Ballet and storytelling come together
A dynamic program of works tied together by the art of storytelling
A dynamic program of works tied together by the art of storytelling
The New York City Ballet presents a dynamic evening of works tied together by the art of dance and storytelling in their unmissable annual Short Stories program. Led by three of Balanchine's best-loved narratives, including his interpretation of the biblical tale Prodigal Son, and the charming fairytale love story between a ballerina and a toy soldier, The Steadfast Tin Soldier. And to end: the merry stylings of Wheeldon's Carnival of the Animals - an imaginative treat set to Saint-Saens beloved composition and a text written and narrated by John Lithgow.
