Known for creating the admired Danish tradition of ballet, August Bournonville has been an inspiration to many choreographers, with his egalitarian values and light, kinetic style bringing joy and gaiety to his repertoire. Now the New York City Ballet celebrate in Hear the Dance - Denmark, bringing together his most famous work, and one of the world's oldest surviving ballets, the passionate romance La Sylphide and Bournonville Divertissements, which includes excerpts from 'Flower Festival in Genzaro' & 'A Folk Tale'.
