New York City's historic Ballet company present a special collection of dances right at the very forefront of modern ballet, coming to the David H Koch Theater for a limited run this Fall. Featuring a programme of four pieces by some of the most exciting voices in the medium, Contemporary Choreography I promises to be a thrilling glimpse into the future of ballet.
This programme contains four distinct works by four brilliant artists. Voices is Alexei Ratmansky's character-driven new work set to a score of historic speeches by women; Composer's Holiday is the exciting debut of choreographer Gianna Reisen; Herman Schmerman is a daring new take on a pas de deux by William Forsythe; and Jamar Roberts' New Roberts rounds off the collection. New York City Ballet bring their storied history and high level of skill right up to date with this ground-breaking programme.
