Why see A Woman Among Women?
The Answer to 'All My Sons'
Celebrated novelist and playwright Julia May Jonas' play A Woman Among Women breaks ground as part of the Lincoln Center Theatre's 2025-26 season! Directed by Sarah Cameron Hughes, the work forms part of Jonas's dialogue with the American dramatic canon, with A Woman Among Women serving as a fresh counter to Arthur Miller's All My Sons from a female perspective. Lauded by the New York Times as a critic's pick, be sure to catch this brilliant new work offering a refreshing new shape on a classic story.
What Is The Story?
Set over the course of one languid summer afternoon in Northampton, Massachusetts, the play follows Cleo, founder of a centre for women's wellness. As friends, relatives and community members drift in and out of her backyard as she holds court, it soon becomes clear that the community she has nurtured may hang in the balance.
