A MUST SEE
Regarded by some as one of the greatest comics of all time, everyone knows the name Jackie Mason. But have you heard the one about the belly dancer? For the first time, The Jackie Mason Musical lifts the lid on the true story of Mason and his decade long love affair with the young Ginger Reiter, and the child they shared, Sheba Mason. Written, composed and directed by Ginger and starring Sheba as herself and her mom, this peek into the strange double life of an American icon is a hit for fans, old and new.
It all began in Miami in 1977. When their eyes meet in a deli, Jackie and Ginger have no idea of the complicated and long-running love story ahead of them. Urged by her glamorous mother Mrs Oliver, Ginger falls completely in love and is happy to be wooed by Jackie whenever he finds his way to South Florida. Unbeknownst to Ginger, Jackie seems to have a lot of young lady friends all over the country and when she becomes pregnant, she's left to bring up young Sheba alone in the midst of heartbreak.
Hilarious and original and packed with unique songs such as "Early Bird Special" "I Never Met This Yenta" and more, this critically acclaimed musical is an absolute gem!
