Orchestra Moderne NYC's Debut Concert

Orchestras and classical music are often thought to form part of the old school, stuck in the nostalgia of the western classical music tradition. But the exciting new Orchestra Moderne NYC is breaking the mould, performing music from modern film scores, video games and concerts to reach new audiences and communicate topical issues and ideas, as well as tell stories old and new.

Known for her work in Legend Of Zelda: Symphony of the Goddesses, conductor Amy Andersson has formed and helms an ensemble of New York Cities best musicians. Don't miss their inaugural concert this Fall, featuring Ellis Island: The Dream Of America, Peter Boyer's Grammy nominated work that forms the center piece of this tribute to the history of immigrants in America.
