Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Jorma Kaukonen, marks his 85th birthday with a special run of shows across North America. Known for his groundbreaking work as a founding member of Jefferson Airplane and the blues-fueled Hot Tuna, Kaukonen has spent more than six decades redefining the possibilities of acoustic and electric guitar. His 2025 birthday tour kicks off November 1 at Washington, D.C.'s Warner Theatre, with stops including New York, San Francisco and Denver.

Inducted to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1996 as a member of Jefferson Airplane, Kaukonen was an integral part of the psychedelic movement in the late 60s, which came to define music and culture both at the time and for generations to come. His side project Hot Tuna became just as prolific, touring globally for decades and continuing to release collaborations and live albums into the 2020s.
