A Visceral New Drama Comes To New York

So learns Charlotte, the wife and mother at the center of arresting new drama Something Clean, now showing as part of the Roundabout Theater Company's latest season. 

Written by young upcoming playwright Selina Fillinger, the thought-provoking portrayal of motherhood, familial life and trying to put back the pieces in the wake of terrible tragedy may deal with a bleak subject matter, but handles it with nuance and tenderness, finding humour in the darkest of corners. Charlotte and her husband Doug's orderly, clean existence is thrown in to turmoil when their son Kai is convicted of rape on his university campus. Charlotte finds refuge by volunteering at a sexual assault center as she struggles to put back the pieces of a once ordinary life.
