James Acaster

Why see James Acaster?

Hecklers Welcome 2024

Irreverent and self-deprecating as they come, Britain's James Acaster has risen to the top of the comedy tree with his honest observational style, laying bare his life on stages, panel shows, podcasts, books, and more. Don't miss this tall drink of water when he brings his show, 'Heckler's Welcome' to venues across the country in 2024!

Following the well-trodden path of many a Brit comedian, James Acaster came to prominence after performing at the highly esteemed Edinburgh Fringe Festival, where he was nominated for Best Show five times over. After that, it was only a hop skip and a jump to the mainstream. His talents have seen him appear on numerous comedy shows, record a Netflix special, and start his own hilarious podcast; Off Menu with fellow comedian Ed Gamble.

Perfection, Streamlined, Honest

This intimate theatre was perfect for this perfect comedian. His writing and presentation was flawless.. He reflects an honesty of our human species which quickly disarms the hearts of the audience. I felt like I’d just had a heart to heart with “Uncle James”, who’d humorously disclosed his personal feelings about growing up. It takes great skill to cleverly and clearly communicate private insights of one’s own journey through life, and most certainly courage. James Acaster does it all. He is an extremely talented storyteller for any age group. His ability to use such effective body language and his facial expressions are so entertaining, his anecdotes immediately engage his listeners. He needed absolutely nothing else but himself on stage except the simple black background. No distractions. Good decision. He was that good. Comfortable, intimate seating allowed the audience to fully enjoy his show. This classy comedian is a joy to see in person! Perfect evening! ... Read more

WONDERFUL

The show is amazing, better than the TV Live version or the movie. I can understand why this show was nominated for a Tony. Everything from the acting, singing to the dancing was flawless. The cast is incredible but I have to give a special shoutout to the children in this show. I was highly entertained and only wish we could see it again. ... Read more
