3 Legendary Songwriters

CBS-FM presents it's 2016 Christmas concert, and it's a doozy! Headlining this festive feast of songwriting and singing talent is James Taylor, for whom the term 'iconic' doesn't quite do justice. With over 100 million albums sold worldwide throughout his 50 year plus career, he's written some of the most indelible pop songs of all time, including 'Fire and Rain' and 'You've Got a Friend.'

Also performing is Jimmy Buffet, keeping away that winter chill with his brand of sunshiney pop on tracks like 'Escape to Margaritaville' and 'Cheeseburger in Paradise'. Rounding out the bill is Sarah McLachlan. A leading light of Canada's alternative rock scene, she was one of the most successful singer songwriters of the 90s. While her 1989 debut Touch established her in her native land, it wasn't until 1993's Fumbling Towards Ecstasy that the rest of the world sat up and took notice.
