Hit playwright Bubba Weiler brings new play Off Broadway this June
Critically acclaimed playwright Bubba Weiler (Well, I'll Let You Go) returns Off Broadway with the world premiere of this earth-shattering new play, coming to the Atlantic Stage 2 this June. Focusing on two altar boys whose faith is shaken by a desperate new arrival, The Saviors is a powerful exploration of how religion and adolescence intertwine and shape each other.
Two young altar boys think that they understand the world. That's about to change. As a straying young man enters their church searching for himself, the two growing boys will discover that faith is nowhere near as unshakeable as they thought. Holding onto each other for support and confirmation, the growing changes in their lives will soon become impossible to ignore. Changes that might just rip them apart.
