Almost Home
Wars fought at home and abroad
Why see Almost Home?
Almost Home is the first play by Walter Anderson, former marine and editor-in-chief of Parade Magazine. Anderson has drawn on his military background for his playwriting debut, crafting a work which centers on the return of marine Johnny to his parent's house in 1960's New York. Shaken by his service experiences but ready to make a fresh start, Johnny's optimism is soon undone by the troubling family secrets which are brought to the surface by his homecoming. Receiving its world premiere at The Acorn Theatre, Almost Home will be directed by Michael Parva (Murder in the First). The cast is yet to be announced.
