Whoopi Goldberg To Star In Annie Revival On Broadway

Legendary entertainer Whoopi Goldberg is set to dazzle Broadway audiences this holiday season as she steps into the shoes of Miss Hannigan, in a fresh revival of Annie. The beloved star will step into the spotlight at the Theatre at Madison Square Garden, with the production running from December 4th to January 5th. Goldberg's first appearance as the villainous orphanage matron will be on December 11th.
All About The New Annie!
Before arriving in New York, this production will have an exclusive run at the Chicago Theatre from November 12th to December 1st, though Goldberg won't be part of that pre-New York engagement.
This sparkling new staging of Annie is led by director Jenn Thompson, with choreography by Patricia Wilcox. The creative team also includes Wilson Chin on sets, Alejo Vietti on costumes, Philip Rosenberg on lighting, Ken Travis on sound, Ashley Rae Callahan on hair and wigs, and Dan DeLange handling orchestrations. The production is an Equity staging of the recent non-Equity national tour, bringing the classic musical back to the Big Apple with a fresh twist.
