News Desk, November 26th, 2018

Currently playing at the Hudson Theatre

The brand new Broadway musical Head Over Heels have announced that they will be closing their doors at the Hudson Theatre on January 6 after 37 previews and 188 regular performances! The musical features music by 80s band The Go Go's and opened on July 26, 2018, following an out-of-town try out in San Francisco earlier this year.

Telling an updated version of Philip Sydney's Arcadia, Head Over Heels is a zany mash-up full of romance, comedy and dramatic irony. Starring RuPaul's Drag Race favorite Peppermint, Head Over Heels also stars Jeremy Kushnier, Rachel York, Alexandra Socha and Andrew Durrand.

Head Over Heels features a book by Avenue Q writer Jeff Whitty which has been adapted by James Magruder, with directed by Micahel Mayer and choreography by Spencer Liff.

The production was recently a part of the CBS Thanksgiving special, where they performed The Go Go's mega-hit, We've Got The Beat.

What is Head Over Heels about?

Full of mistaken identity, jealous lovers, romance and scandal, Head Over Heels is a witty and lavish journey where not everyone or everything is at it seems. This fresh new vision celebrates love in all it's varying forms and is underpinned by the driving force of The Go-Go's greatest hits, bringing joy, laughter and full hearts to anyone who sees it.

Heave Over Heels is currently playing at the Hudson Theatre through to January 6.
