Broadway is back!

Broadway is back come September, and so are the Tony Awards!

Broadway is back! If you can wait another three months, September will see some of Broadway's biggest shows reopen including Hadestown, Hamilton and Moulin Rouge. It'll also be a month of celebrating all things Broadway thanks to the long-awaited return of the Tony Awards.

This year sees the 74th Annual Tony Awards take place, though in a slightly different format to what we're use to. The awards ceremony will take place alongside a special live-streamed concert entitled, Broadway's Back!, celebrating the triumphs of Broadway and its resilient spirit. Viewers will be treated to performances by some of Broadway's favorite musicals as well as the three contenders for 'Best New Musical' award, namely Moulin Rouge, Jagged Little Pill and Tina: The Tina Turner Musical.

Tune into on September 26th for the four-hour long special, taking part across two different televised events - the concert and the awards ceremony. Although the 2020 season was cut short, the awards ceremony will still see some highly-acclaimed productions battle it out for a prize. This includes Moulin Rouge, Jagged Little Pill, and The Inheritance. The winners will be announced on September 26th at 7pm ET on Paramount+.
