Harry Potter's magic prevailed at the 2018 Drama Desk Awards on Sunday night, with the high-profile play earning five awards for its technical wizardry and direction. It did not, however, earn a nomination for Outstanding Play award. This award went to Joshua Harmon's Admissions.
The full list of Drama Desk Awards won by Harry Potter and the Cursed Child includes Outstanding Director of a Play for John Tiffany, Outstanding Lighting Design for a Play, Outstanding Music in a Play, Outstanding Sound Design in a Play, and Outstanding Projection Design. All nods to the creative genius (and production expense) ploughed into bringing author J.K Rowling's Harry Potter universe to dazzling life.
