Squeamish

Squeamish at Beckett Theatre

Why see Squeamish?

The New Play from Aaron Mark

Two-time Tony nominee Alison Fraser (The Secret Garden, First Daughter Suite) stars as a volatile psychoanalyst off her meds in this new psychological horror at The Beckett. Presented by All for One Theater, the story follows her increasingly unhinged quest for personal balance after the death of her nephew.

Squeamish is the third horror play from Aaron Mark, following the acclaimed Empanada Loca and Another Medea. The latter of which, which debuted Off Off Broadway in 2015 and took the form of a monologue from murderous sociopath, was called "inherently disturbing." by Time Out New York. We don't doubt that Squeamish repeats the trick!

Mezmerizing! Alison Fraser is riveting!

A friend and I decided on an impromptu outing to the theater last night and decided upon "Squeamish" thinking it would put us in the Halloween mood. So glad we did! This one woman show, with a short run time of 1hr 15min, had me unconsciously clenching my seat by the end. Alison Fraser kept our rapt attention the entire time as she recounted a tale which subtlety lured you in and left you mouth agape by the end. My friend and I agreed that it is the type of play which keeps your mind spinning for hours afterwards, the story lying on the edge of realistic and twisted. The fact that I could hardly blink the entire hour is a testament to Ms. Fraser's sublime talent. I *highly* recommend you treat yourself and get a little Squeamish!! ... Read more
