It's not often new classics of American cinema come along but in 2004 director Alexander Payne and novelist Pickett delivered a bonafide smash hit in the form of two-time Academy Award-winning film Sideways. Paul Giamatti and Thomas Hayden Church portrayed a struggling writer and wine enthusiast and his soon to be married friend Jack, charting their last single-guy road trip. Pickett now brings the story to the stage during a hotly anticipated immersive dining and theatrical experience at Theater at St. Clement's this spring.
Before embarking on the fictional journey, audiences have the chance to experience an exclusive wine and gourmet food tasting curated by celebrity chef Mary Giuliani and foremost online wine retailer Wine Access. Direction comes from Obie Award-winning theatre maker Dan Wackerman, founding member and artistic director of the prestigious Peccadillo Theater Company.
