The story of the nine students who made history
One of the defining moments of the battle for Civil Rights is brought to life in Rajendra Ramoon Maharaj's intelligent play. Written following years of research and interviews with the people who were there, Little Rock takes us back to 1957, when nine black students became a test case for the Supreme Court's Integration of Schools order. Escorted by armed soldiers, who helped to protect them from a baying crowd of segregationists, they climbed the steps of Little Rock High school in Arkansas and made headlines around the world.
Little Rock tells the story of these brave students in a story of resilience that remains just as relevant to the America of today.
