Why see All The Natalie Portmans?
A relatable new production
All The Natalie Portmans is an inventive new play centered on Keyonna, who at only 16-years-old is facing eviction from her home. The stress of her real-life situation causes her to delve into the carefree and optimistic world of romantic comedies with Natalie Portman being her biggest muse. Things get scary when the Natalie Portmans start talking to her and Keyonna must deal with her life away from the screen, proving that the world of escapism doesn't last forever.
Speaking on the production, playwright C.A Johnson spoke to Playbill about how the story "is a love letter addressed to every queer girl struggling to actualize her dreams and every poor Black family fighting to love one another despite the onslaught."
