Perfect Crime at Anne L. Bernstein Theater

Why see Perfect Crime?

A New York Theatre Staple!

A staple of New York theatre, much like The Mousetrap across the pond in London, this show goes far and beyond the traditional mystery play. It is a sexy, compelling comedy-thriller, with well-timed surprises and laughs that relieve a growing dramatic tension. The main character is a Harvard-educated psychiatrist accused of bumping off her wealthy, foppish British husband.

WHAT IS IT ABOUT?

The story is set in an affluent Connecticut town where a suspected murderess conducts her practice out of her secluded mansion. The handsome detective assigned to the case must overcome his own love nterest in the woman as he seeks to discover who murdered her husband, if indeed he was murdered at all.Or is it all an elaborate ruse leading up to The Perfect Crime? You'll have to see to find out - you'll find no spoilers here....

Perfect Crime opened in April 1987 and has enjoyed over 8,000 performances to date! This mystery thriller continues to entertain patrons right in the heart of Times Square.

We laughed at the clues we missed and/misunderstood. And we realized that the play was really well written. ... Read more
